/radio Necrotics appear to be the source of the reports. Pursuing the threat. Eradicate.
/me smacks the headcrab to the ground and stomps on it
/it A strange sound echoes from the subways
/me pulls out his clip, checks his ammo, and continues forward
/me breathes heavily, observing his surroundings

/me is tackled to the ground by a frantic fast headcrab zombie
/it The zombie claws at the helmet of the unit, growling and screaming ravenously
/me pushes the zombie of of him, heel kicks it back to the ground, and opens fire
/me is gasping for air, obviously shocked by the random attack

/me spots a hole in a ventilation shaft; rusty and with no airflow passing through it
/it The ventilation shaft is full of blood and slime, coated on top of the rust

Character back story:
Adam Sprocket was a successful engineer and doctor in his young life. He majored in Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and minored in Chemical Engineering. His wife, Sophie Sprocket, was a Neurologist who worked down the street. They both loved each other very much and were thankful for how fortunate they were... Then the 7 Hour War came.
When the war ended, Adam and Sophie's skill sets weren't needed as often as before. Soon, they were separated and forced to live in different cities. Adam was sent to City 16 and Sophie was sent to City 18. They were separated for a year, until the population dropped in City 17. By sheer luck, they were soon both relocated to City 17 to fill the population drop.
It took them a week to find out they were in the same city. They were overjoyed with how lucky they were. They lived individual lives, but would meet up frequently and talk. Adam would work odd jobs for the MPF and CWU by repairing Civilian tech and the occasional MPF device. Sophie joined the CWU and sold surplus citizen supplements. Things were going normally until one day Sophie wasn't at the ration station during distribution.
Adam was concerned so he left early to go look for her. He wandered around for what seemed like an hour until he heard cries for help. He saw Sophie, about 50 yards away from him being mugged by a stranger. Adam broke into a dead sprint right when the mugger was able to steal Sophie's tokens. Sophie got up and ran after the stranger screaming, “Thief! Thief!” By the time Adam reached where she had been mugged, she was over halfway down the ally into the slums. Adam pursued her, but she was just too far away. Then, out of nowhere, a hidden headcrab nested in a pile of cardboard, jumped out and attacked Sophie. Adam watched in horror as his wife turned from human into alien zombie.
Adam looked down and saw the mugger dead; lying on the ground with a horrified look on his face. Adam quickly figured out that by the time Sophie was in the center of the slums, she wasn't trying to get her money back, she was trying to escape the headcrabs. The mugger laid motionless on the ground, 9mm in hand. Adam looked back at Sophie, now a full fledged headcrab zombie. Adam, tear running down his face, picked up the 9mm and aimed at the headcrab atop Sophie's body. He closed his eyes, sobbed, “I'm so sorry”, and pulled the trigger.
Sophie's corpse hit the pavement with a dull thud. Adam stood there, frozen; realizing what he had done. He fell to his knees screaming and sobbing. About 10 minutes later, the MPF found him and arrested him for 1 account of murder. The MPF assumed Adam had killed the mugger. He was shortly let go because Adam had killed a Necrotic. He was awarded no loyalist points and the “murder” permanently went on his record.
Adam lived a solemn, sad life for the rest of his life in City 17. 2 years later, he was moved again to City 18, Sophie's old city. He now tries to live a normal life, but thoughts of Sophie still haunt him to this day.
